It would have had to have been right around the end of the Dragon Island campaign (so around mid-June) that we first discussed plans for a Dragontech promotion that put our characters in a 50s futurist setting (complete with radioactive nuclear wasteland) alongside all the mutant hordes that come along with a post-apocalyptic world. Having not been too familiar with the inspiration for the campaign, I was intrigued to say the least. Nearly four months, one musician, a handful of vendors, and three new sex toys later, Dragontech is in the Bad Dragon history books.
I wish I could tell you exactly how much fun we have with these promotions! We excitedly discuss all the great possibilities that we can achieve with some simple things like caps, new lube labels, new care sheets, and so on. Sometimes really fun ideas have to be abandoned for a variety of reasons, but this time it all came together pretty well. We all love our jobs here at Bad Dragon (honestly, it’s the most unique and amazing place I’ve ever worked), and we get really happy when we see reactions to some of the little things (DIN OSA URS, anyone?).
We were really excited to get Pepper Coyote to perform the fantastic retro sounding tunes that pervaded the radio on the site. From the first song he sent us, “One Thing,” to the last (title has been censored on account of lewdness), it was extremely gratifying to see how well put together the songs were, and so catchy too! There were lots of laughs being heard throughout the workshop during the Dragontech stuff for sure. Much time is spent coming up with things we hope will make you laugh, smile, and be satisfied. That’s the best part of our jobs, making sure our customers are happy with what we are doing.
We all hope you have enjoyed the Dragontech campaign as much as we have! We definitely look forward to dazzling you with our next big thing (no pun intended), and though we can’t say what it will be, we are certain it will be something to remember!
